Citizenship Test Prep for Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island is Canada's smallest province by both area and population, and joined Confederation in 1873, six years after the original four provinces. Charlottetown, its capital and largest city, hosted the 1864 Charlottetown Conference, widely regarded as the birthplace of the idea of Canadian Confederation. The island's economy centres on agriculture, especially potato farming, along with fishing and tourism, much of it tied to the province's association with the novel Anne of Green Gables. The premier is Rob Lantz.
