Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Use apply to the Citizenpro Canada website and the Citizenpro Canada app (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Ott & Stadler Group KLG, a general partnership (Kollektivgesellschaft) with its seat at Rosgartenstrasse 26, 8280 Kreuzlingen, Switzerland (UID CHE-452.933.007), referred to below as “we” or “us”. Full company details are in our Legal notice. By using the Service, creating an account, or making a purchase, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.

What the Service offers

Citizenpro Canada is a private study tool for preparing for the Canadian citizenship test.

• Free content and features that you can use without paying.
• Premium, an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional content and features in the app (see Premium purchases below).
• Early Access: signing up for Early Access on this website is free and non-binding. It does not oblige you to buy anything. We use your email address to let you know about the launch, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• We may change or extend features, or stop offering individual features, where this is reasonable for users.

No official status and no advice

Citizenpro Canada is an independent, privately operated study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Government of Canada or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Our questions are realistic practice questions, not official exam questions. Nothing in the Service is legal or immigration advice, and we cannot guarantee that you will pass the citizenship test. Requirements, fees, and procedures change, so always check the current information on canada.ca.

AI-assisted content and quality assurance

The practice questions, answers, and study articles on this website and in the app were created with the help of AI and checked against public sources across multiple rounds of independent review. Despite this care, content can contain errors or become outdated, and we provide no guarantee of complete accuracy, timeliness, or legal validity. The Service is intended solely for private test preparation and does not replace official information from the Government of Canada or IRCC. You are responsible for verifying anything that matters to your application against official sources.

Accounts

Some features of the app require an account.

• You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything that happens under your account.
• You must give accurate information when you register, and each person may only have one account.
• You can delete your account and all stored data at any time in the app under Profile, Delete account. You can also ask us to delete it by email.
• Accounts that have been inactive for more than 24 months (no login) may be deleted with 30 days’ advance notice by email. Premium accounts are not deleted automatically without separate notice.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these Terms.

Acceptable use

The Service may only be used for your personal, non-commercial test preparation. The following is not allowed:

• Automated retrieval of content (scraping, bots, crawlers).
• Sharing your account or login details with others.
• Reselling, licensing, or otherwise commercially exploiting the content.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the app.
• Trying to bypass access limits, including free-use limits and Premium restrictions.
• Any use that breaks applicable law.

If you break these rules, we may block your access without prior notice.

Minimum age

The Service is available to people aged 13 or older. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian to use the Service. In Quebec, consent of the parent or guardian is required for anyone under 14, in line with Quebec privacy law.

Premium purchases

• Premium is a one-time purchase (a lifetime licence), not a subscription. It gives you access to the Premium content and features for as long as we operate the app. We do not promise that Premium features stay unchanged forever.
• The price is shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) before you buy. The current price is CAD 50. Applicable taxes are shown by the store at checkout.
• Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and are subject to their terms and conditions. Payment is processed by the store, and we never receive or store your payment card details.

Refunds

Premium content is digital and available immediately after purchase. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules, so please contact the store where you bought Premium. We do not make a separate refund promise beyond that. Your rights under mandatory consumer protection law, including Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, are not affected.

Availability and operation

We aim for stable availability of the Service but cannot guarantee it. Operation may be limited or interrupted for maintenance, technical, or operational reasons, and outages at third-party providers (for example Google, Apple, Firebase) are outside our control. If we permanently shut down the app, users with active Premium access will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when the Service or the law changes. For significant changes, we will notify you by an in-app notice, by email, or on this website. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms, unless the law requires your express consent.

Intellectual property

All content of the Service, including questions, texts, graphics, design, and code, is protected by copyright and belongs to us or to our licensors. Copying, distributing, adapting, or making it publicly available without our written permission is not allowed, except where the law allows it.

Liability

• You use the Service at your own risk.
• To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits arising from your use, in particular for failing a citizenship test, for errors or outdated content, for outages or data loss, or for services of third-party providers (Google and Firebase, Apple, RevenueCat, Resend, and others).
• This limitation does not apply to intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury, or to any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
• Mandatory consumer protection rights in Canada, including in Quebec, remain unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end your access without prior notice and without compensation if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Cookies and website analytics

Where this website uses non-essential cookies or similar technologies, for example for visit statistics, it does so only with your consent given through the cookie banner. You can decline them or clear them later in your browser without losing access to any content on the site.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss substantive law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The mandatory consumer protection provisions of your place of residence in Canada, including Quebec’s consumer protection and privacy laws, remain reserved and are not affected by this choice of law. Where legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Kreuzlingen, Switzerland. Where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence, that right remains. For Canadian consumers, this means you keep all rights that Canadian federal or provincial law does not allow to be waived by contract.

Languages

These Terms are available in English and French. In case of doubt, the English version prevails, except where Quebec law requires otherwise. For consumers in Quebec, the French version applies.

Severability

If a provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay valid. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its economic purpose.
