Citizenship Test Prep for Nunavut

Nunavut is Canada's newest and largest territory, created in 1999 by dividing the Northwest Territories, following decades of negotiation over Inuit land claims that culminated in the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement. Iqaluit, on Baffin Island, is the territorial capital. The vast majority of Nunavut's population is Inuit, and Inuktitut and Inuinnaqtun are official territorial languages alongside English and French. Like the Northwest Territories, Nunavut's legislature operates by consensus government rather than a traditional party system. The premier is John Main.
